The “Red” Battle is on the way. North West of England will be a witness for a new tough derby between its two football legends, Manchester United and Liverpool. These two clubs have enjoyed a fierce rivalry through a long football history. This rivalry has also been accompanied with the “Winning” habit. The “Red Devils” and the “Reds” are by far the best successful teams in the history of English Football with each grabbing 18 League title since 1888 to present including both the English League and the Premier League which was launched in 1992. While Manchester United dominating the domestic competitions as a whole with  total of 50 to 47, Liverpool on the other side were writing success in the European fields with a total of 11 titles to 7.

The 2009-2010 Premier League is coming to a suspense end where a three horse race is going on with each of London sides, Arsenal and Chelsea challenging the title holders, Manchester United, to the title. Liverpool on the other side is somehow far from the top spot by 15 points. Although Liverpool chances for the title are so low but there are two big motives for them to push and win in the coming game with Manchester United. The first and primary motive is fighting for an European seat where Liverpool are having another tough battle with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, and Aston Villa. Liverpool fans cannot tolerate the idea that there team will be out of the next Champions League with their current failure in the current one. Also, Rafa Benitez would be on thin ice since is highly requested to provide results for the Reds, so, losing the Champions League spot will make him lose his Sideline spot. The secondary motive pushing the Reds will be to ensure that the Premier League title doesn’t be in the hands of their Devilish rivals. The Reds won’t pave the way for the devils but will moisturize their way to turn off their “Rooney-ing” fire.

Revenge, Revenge, and Revenge are the main triple objectives for the Red Devils. A single revenge for the each loss in the last three games in the Premier League. The Red Devils enjoyed the title last year and are having a successful track this year where they are topping the table currently. Despite of the success, Red Devils and their fans know well that losing to their rivals make their success a sour one. No mercy is planned, not this time, not in Old Trafford, and not in front of the loyal fans. Wasting points at this stage is not at all a good idea and the Sir Alex knows it very well that losing points to any club will make his chances worse since his London challengers will be waiting. So, losing more points will largely mean losing the title and which will mean that the rivals have fulfilled their objective, this is simply not allowed. Knowing that winning Liverpool won’t break any new record for the Red Devils, but winning the title will surely do; winning the 2009-2010 Premier League title will make Manchester United the English club with most League titles reaching the number 19 leaving their Red rivals in the second place with 18 titles.

Sunday, March 21 2010 won’t be an ordinary mother’s day; Mothers around the world will be envying Football with millions of eyes and minds focused on England, Manchester, The Old Trafford Stadium. Wishing a happy Mothers day for all the Reds both Devils and non-devils.
